Reminders: Fall Break is next week.  There will be no school for Monday November 10 - Wednesday November 12th.  Classes resume on Thursday November 13th. Highlights of Grade Two Today:  we worked on our pattern city today! Mayor Artstew did not come today, but we were hard at work planning for our pattern city. we read two books today about Remembrance Day.  We read What Does Peace Feel Like and Finding Winnie.  We talked about what peace feels, smells, tastes, looks and sounds like to us...ask me some of the ideas! We also learned a lot about Winnie the Pooh and how his story came to be. we learned about cardinal directions and played some games around the classroom where we had to walk North, West, East and South. we went to gym and played Newton Ball....ask me what that is we did literacy stations today, ask me which ones I did!  we did mindful math today.

 Reminders: Fall Break is next week - November 10,11, 12. Highlights of Grade Two Today: we did our UFLI groups! Ask me which sound I worked on. we did math, we practiced writing increasing and decreasing number patterns with the rule. we went to music and scared the daylights out of Mrs. Stewart!!!  Ask me what we did! we did our October Winter Count today, ask me what event I chose for it and why I chose that event. we counted our money! we did literacy stations today, ask me which station I went to.

 Reminders: The weather is getting colder and we do go outside for at least 30 minutes a day (sometimes more!!) so please come dressed for the weather every day. Highlights of Grade Two Today: we did art today! We listened to a story called How to Catch a Monster and then we used oil pastels to create our very own monsters! we went to gym today and had Freedom Frenzy!! we did morning maker but had challenges to complete....we had to make a bat cave, create a tote to carry candy, create a house for 5 ghosts, make a spiderweb between two chairs, build a fence for a pumpkin patch and create a scarecrow and crows! Ask me which one was my favourite.
