 Reminders: Tomorrow is Pajama Day and Board Game Day!!!!!  Feel free to bring a board game of your choice to play with your classmates, or play one that is already here! Wear your pajamas for the last day of school before winter break!! This is optional. Classes will resume on Monday January 5th, 2026. I wish you all a very restful and happy winter break!!  See you next year!  Highlights of Grade Two Today: we finished up learning about Holidays around the world. Ask me about Lohri, Hannukah, Lunar New Years and New Years!  we tasted gingerbread! Ask me if I liked it!! we practiced our odd and even numbers by doing an odd maze and playing Number Ninja on the laptops! we finished up a lot of our work from our visual journals!  we went to gym and played Santa's Workshop on the scooters! we listened to a book called Ruby's New Year we watched a Mystery Doug video about why January is the first month of the year in our calendar.

 Reminders: Tomorrow is Winter Wear Wednesday! Thursday is Papa John Fun Lunch if you ordered. Friday is Pajama and Board Game Day!!!!  You can wear your pajamas and bring a board game from home if you would like! We will have games here you can play if you do not bring one!  Winter Break is from December 22-January 4th 2026.  School resumes on Monday January 5th, 2026. Hoodies and/or t-shirts were sent home today if you ordered one.  Highlights of Grade Two Today: we did an estimystery in math today and then played mystery numbers. we did writing today, we wrote notes to the seniors and we wrote about what we chose for our December Winter Count we finished the Northern Lights painting we did we went to gym and played the snowman battle we did mindful math Snowy Cookie Twinkletoes was pretending he was an acrobat and was hanging from a zipline today! we added to our December winter count today, asked me what I picked for this month.  we did our UFLI switche...

 Reminders: Remember when you see the blue dot on the outside door, that means it is a blue day and you can open the door and come right in.  You can enter from any door on those days. Papa Johns fun lunch on Thursday the 18th for those that ordered. Wednesday December 17th is our final Winter Wear day. Friday December 19th is PAJAMA DAY!!!!!  Highlights of Grade Two Today: we learned how to draw a snowman using a tickle touch so we could erase lines easily we learned about value in colour and how to create tints and shades of colours we created snowman using a gradient and then used a different gradient to paint the scarf and hat we did not finish our art, we will have to finish on Monday. we went to music and played the boomwhackers our kindness for today was to fist bump five people.

 Reminders: When you see the blue dot on the outside of the school doors that means it is a 'Blue Day'. It is below minus 20 so students should come inside as soon as they get to the school during regular supervision times.  You can enter any door of the school and make your way to your classroom.  Highilights of Grade Two Today: we went to gym and played helicopter we had indoor recess all day, ask me what I played! we read a story called The Wish Tree and made wishes for the world, we made ornaments with our wish on them and hung them on our own Wish Tree, ask me what I wished for we started a new math project today where we created our own base ten robots with base ten blocks!  we did three rounds of literacy stations. we made sentences using nouns, verbs and adjectives!
