Mrs. Stewart's Grade Two Adventure!

Reminders: No school tomorrow! Highlights of Grade Two Today: we learned about pitch and volume of a sound and what the sound waves look like for them we practiced the zero rule for basic facts we played Guess that Sound we practiced our heart words by playing Musical Heart Word we went to music we learned how to use a hundreds chart to add AND subtract two digit numbers! Ask me to show you how to do this!  

Reminders: There is no school for students on Friday January 30th. Highlights of Grade Two Today: we did our first science experiment! We made sugar dance by singing...how did we do that?? Ask me to explain it to you we learned about the scientific method and we follow the 4 step method when we are doing experiments, ask me what the four steps are (hint - look at the pictures) we had our Regions of Canada Tourism Fair today and showed our posters to our Grade Five buddies! Ask me about some of the compliments I got!  we practiced the commutative property for basic facts today - 6+7 or 7+6 we had a very special treat, we had the Creative Club come in and teach us how to make comics!!  Ask me what comic I started making today. There are a lot of pictures today - Mrs. Stewart got one of each of us at the Regions of Canada with our fantastic posters!!
