Mrs. Stewart's Grade Two Adventure!

 Reminders: There is no school tomorrow, it is a PD day for students Highlights of Grade Two Today: we went to gym and we practiced stick handling, passing and shooting we did an activity where we learned about how when we hurt somebody's feelings it is VERY hard to make them feel better again, even if we say sorry.  Ask me how I felt about this activity we read two books today, More Than Peach and Have you Thanked an Inventor today! Ask me about these books we learned the stacking method for addition, we have now learned four strategies for two digit addition we did three round of literacy stations, ask me which ones I did today ask me what We Will Not Be a Crumpling Class means.....

 Reminders: Today was Pink Shirt Day!  No school on Friday February 27th. Highlights of Grade Two Today: we had music today and it was the best time ever! We got to do music sharing and all the songs were awesome!!! we made ourselves! We coloured little people to look just like us, we will be doing a project with them tomorrow. we had a kindness assembly in the gym! Ask me about it the Creative Club came and did a craft with us today.  It was all about kindness we did our UFLI switcheroo we practiced more decomposing in math today, ask me to show you how to do this strategy

 Reminders: Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day!!  Wear pink to show support for kindness and being a buddy not a bully!!! Highlights of Grade Two Today: we did our writing about Viola Desmond. Ask me what I wrote about we did math and learned the decomposing strategy for addition. Ask me to show you this strategy we had Mrs. Stewart and Ms. T teach us gym today! We played evolution and did yoga we made kindness fortune tellers! Ask me what these are and what kind messages I put in mine.

There is no school for students on Friday February 27th.  It is a PD day Highlights of Grade Two Today: we went down and looked at the Grade 5 science fair projects! Ask me about which ones I saw. we went to the gym and learned how to stick handle a hockey stick we read a story and watched a video about Viola Desmond and we created a four-square planner about her.  Tomorrow we will write about Viola Desmond we recorded all the medals that Canada won in the Olympics! We won 21 medals altogether we did three rounds of literacy stations, ask me which stations I did on Friday we read a book called Tar Beach and did an art project based on author and artist Faith Ringgold on Friday we FINALLY got to go out and play in the snow! check out the pictures below from Frid...
