We will be going for a community walk on Friday May 29th. 

Highlights of Grade Two:

• we have some new classmates.....well not yet! They still have to hatch!!  We have chick eggs in our classroom in an incubator and we are waiting to see how many of them will hatch into chicks! We will be learning about the life cycle of animals first hand by watching the chick eggs!
• we candled the chick eggs today and sketched what we saw, ask me what this means and what I saw
• we are learning about shapes,  both 2D and 3D shapes! Today we made a cube...ask me how many faces, vertices and edges a cube has
• we did reading stations today, ask me which ones I went to
• we did Spellie, ask me what the words were
• we began a new science unit on matter and materials.  We will be learning about how all things are made of matter, and how some objects can be made out of two or more materials
• we had music
• we went to phys. ed yesterday and worked on gymnastics.  We were doing balances and travels
