Reminders:  
Thursday is the Welcome to the New Year Open House!

Friday is Orange Shirt Day.  

There is no school on Monday September 29th and Tuesday September 30th. 

I should bring in headphones for listening to reading.  Just plug in ones work the best, we cannot accomodate bluetooth.  There are cheap ones at the dollar store that seem to work well. 

Highlights of Grade Two Today:
  • we did three rounds of literacy stations today and some students got to do listening!!!  
  • we learned about increasing patterns today
  • we wrote sentences about why we would visit the places we chose to visit in Canada, ask me what I wrote.
  • we went to gym and learned how to throw underhand
  • we coloured a buffalo and talked about how the buffalo is a sign of respect and we wrote about what makes us feel respected, ask me what I wrote.

Reminders: ** I forgot to send home the yellow home folders with a parent questionaire in it.  I will send them home tomorrow. I am sorry!! ** Terry Fox run is on September 18th. In Grade Two Today We: we made name tags for our supply bins! Ask me how I coloured mine! we started working on our time capsules, we are measuring our hands, feet, height and drawing a picture and writing words to put away until the end of the year! we talked about emergency procedures and practiced walking out to our post for a fire drill.  Ask me what our post number is....hint it comes after 5. we read a book written by Lebron James called I Promise, then we made our very own Grade 2 promise and we signed it!!  Ask me what we all promised for this year....hint: it is in the picture below. we went outside for recess we learned 'walk the wall' which taught us to walk following the wall all the way around to the front of the school in case we ever find ourselves outside our door and not able to ...
