 Reminders:

When you see the blue dot on the outside of the school doors that means it is a 'Blue Day'. It is below minus 20 so students should come inside as soon as they get to the school during regular supervision times.  You can enter any door of the school and make your way to your classroom. 


Highilights of Grade Two Today:

  • we went to gym and played helicopter
  • we had indoor recess all day, ask me what I played!
  • we read a story called The Wish Tree and made wishes for the world, we made ornaments with our wish on them and hung them on our own Wish Tree, ask me what I wished for
  • we started a new math project today where we created our own base ten robots with base ten blocks! 
  • we did three rounds of literacy stations.
  • we made sentences using nouns, verbs and adjectives!

Reminders: ** I forgot to send home the yellow home folders with a parent questionaire in it.  I will send them home tomorrow. I am sorry!! ** Terry Fox run is on September 18th. In Grade Two Today We: we made name tags for our supply bins! Ask me how I coloured mine! we started working on our time capsules, we are measuring our hands, feet, height and drawing a picture and writing words to put away until the end of the year! we talked about emergency procedures and practiced walking out to our post for a fire drill.  Ask me what our post number is....hint it comes after 5. we read a book written by Lebron James called I Promise, then we made our very own Grade 2 promise and we signed it!!  Ask me what we all promised for this year....hint: it is in the picture below. we went outside for recess we learned 'walk the wall' which taught us to walk following the wall all the way around to the front of the school in case we ever find ourselves outside our door and not able to ...

 Reminders:  Tomorrow is our Terry Fox Run!!  We will be going out with our Grade Five buddies to do the run! You can still bring in Toonies for Terry if you would like to donate. Highlights of Grade Two Today: we drew a picture of Terry Fox today we did three rounds of literacy stations, ask me which ones I did we went for our library orientation! Ask me how we go to library this year and how many books we get to take out we finished our self portraits!! We can't wait for you to see them next week......and test you on who's who we watched a video about Terry Fox, it taught us that anything is possible if you work hard and don't give up we went to the gym and LTS - Last Team Standing we did Word Problem Wednesday and did a subtraction word problem!!
