Reminder from Ms. Brinson, please read below......

Hello families,

We heard from CBE Transportation today that only 28 families have registered for the school bus for next year (out of the 157 families that needed the school bus this year).

Register, Graphic, Chalkboard, Illustration, Hand, Green School Bus, Yellow Bus, Transportation

Early registration is essential to ensure your child can ride the bus to get to school and back at the start of the school year.

Families who require school bus transportation for 2026–2027 must pre-register through their MyCBE Parent account.

Registering this month is critical—families who miss the deadline may experience up to a six- to eight-week delay in accessing bus service while their child is being added to the system. (This means you would need to get your child to and from school without the bus for up to six to eight weeks while registrations get processed.)

Avoid delays and ensure a smooth start to the school year by registering as soon as possible.

Highlights of Grade Two:

  • we read a book called Beautiful Oops and then we created art from mistakes. Ask me which mistake I had to create art from
  • we went to the gym and played Tower Defence! Ask me about this!
  • we did an estimystery and then played a game that asked us how many more, or which was bigger
  • we created creatures!!! Ask me if I created a head, body or legs for the creature.  We then wrote about it and created full creatures with one head, one body and one leg
  • we did morning maker today

Reminders: ** I forgot to send home the yellow home folders with a parent questionaire in it.  I will send them home tomorrow. I am sorry!! ** Terry Fox run is on September 18th. In Grade Two Today We: we made name tags for our supply bins! Ask me how I coloured mine! we started working on our time capsules, we are measuring our hands, feet, height and drawing a picture and writing words to put away until the end of the year! we talked about emergency procedures and practiced walking out to our post for a fire drill.  Ask me what our post number is....hint it comes after 5. we read a book written by Lebron James called I Promise, then we made our very own Grade 2 promise and we signed it!!  Ask me what we all promised for this year....hint: it is in the picture below. we went outside for recess we learned 'walk the wall' which taught us to walk following the wall all the way around to the front of the school in case we ever find ourselves outside our door and not able to ...

 Reminders:  Tomorrow is our Terry Fox Run!!  We will be going out with our Grade Five buddies to do the run! You can still bring in Toonies for Terry if you would like to donate. Highlights of Grade Two Today: we drew a picture of Terry Fox today we did three rounds of literacy stations, ask me which ones I did we went for our library orientation! Ask me how we go to library this year and how many books we get to take out we finished our self portraits!! We can't wait for you to see them next week......and test you on who's who we watched a video about Terry Fox, it taught us that anything is possible if you work hard and don't give up we went to the gym and LTS - Last Team Standing we did Word Problem Wednesday and did a subtraction word problem!!
